It is so difficult to say what is more importante, talent, luck,hard work. If we speek about Nomi, i would say she is talented. she works hard, she finds herself in the right place. But it is not all. Sides of her character are also of great impotance. Her life was not so easy and it has made her strong, she has a large share of self esteem, she is purposeful, sometimes bitchy. The episode, Marat offered us to watch, is an intriguing one and made me want to watch the whole movie (what I’m surely going to do in the near future). On the basis of this short piece it’s difficult to decide whether hard work or inborn talent was crucial for Nomi’s getting a part in a show. I don’t consider an aspect of luck (mentioned in the question) because to me it is obvious that Nomi’s will to get the part, attractiveness and charisma were those factors which helped her achieve her goal. And surely behind her dance skills there is a lot of hard work. So I prefer to think that Nomi’s participation in the show was possible due to her talent and hard work, which usually go together. Thank you for this episode. I liked it. What about the Nomi, i`m sure, in addition to her talent and good luck, the important was her personal motivation to be in that show, and of course the experience, which she has already had, including her communication skills.

I think main reason of Nomi's success — readiness to sacrifise. Sacrifise the time, sacrifise the principles, sacrifise the pride.

I didn't like this episode, and i wouldn't like this film, obviously. Those girls are prostitutes...they sell their own bodies instead of doing honest work. WEll, the producer of this show is quite rude, but i don't think there are nice people working in night clubs as well as nice girls dancing to seduce other people. At least, i know the reason why this girl reached the success. She is daring and bond besides her beauty or dancing qualities. And only such people can stay in this business.

I think that the girl helped not only talent and  luck. She is observant, responds flexibly to changing circumstances quickly and make decisions. And she uses all the elements of the situation to achieve her goals. Allows himself to be bold, but not rough. well i've seen it years ago but still remember it. i can't say i liked it very much but any way it is impressive and undoubtedly bright. that's entertainment! and at the same time it shows us how some people can save their faces and stay true to themselves despite circumstances and situations.

as for Nomi, i consider her too impulsive and uncontroled, sometimes she seems not to be able to couple with her own, but she's also brave, sharp-minded and true friend.

I think, all girls on this stage want glory, success, being in the centre of attention. Many of them get ready to pay for it very expensive price. Some of them have to change their appearance, other girls must give up their ambitious and desires. I think, there are lots of girls, who have already left their healht and families there. It's not very easy and simple job. I would  say that enough dirty one. You should be like  a robot. You must look perfectly, work perfectly and always be OK. You haven't any rights, instead of you have to be beautiful, lithe and with no ambitious.

Maybe it's very good job for somebody, not for me. I think, it's very nervous and insecurity.

I've never listen about this film before So its rather difficult to answer the question knowing only one episode. Because I really don't know if Nomi is talented person or she worked hard to reach her goal. She doesn't make an impression of hardworker. So if she dances good, she's talented girl. I've not seen this movie neither previous two so I'm waiting for the one that I watched. I can't say that I'd be glad to watch whole movie but I liked the episode. I found a couple of slang words here. I never knew what does «prick» mean. Google translater gave me a lot of meanings!

I like movies like that. Girl who hard work on their future, who obstinately goes to its purpose and achieves it.

Wow, there are so many passion, humor and cruelty that I have not appropriate words to describe my emotions. Tony Moss is really a ammm... goat. But all of us need in the similar teacher in own life. Who can say you unpleasant words about you and what interesting — you know it perfectly. And although I didn't this film too (omg, earlier I thought that I watched almost all films, but after 3 lessons now I Know that I was mistaken), but I can to imagine what tortures are wait the star-woman of this film. I really don't know what to write. I haven't seen this film before/ And it's difficullt to understand the plot from such a short episode. Of course, the matter in question is about the world of show business and its cruel rules. I work in college of arts and my students often say that after finishing our college they are going to work as dancers abroad. I think it will be useful to show them this episode. One is clear if you want to achieve your goal, you should be cruel, goal-seeking and self-confident.

When I was younger, this film was one of my favourite! I was delighted with the persistence of Nomi. She has set a goal and achieved it despite of different obstacles. But such a stories happens in real life rarely. On my mind Nomi succeeded by a happy coincidence. Of course, she worked out a lot, but also her beauty and luck helped her.

Nice episode) I think in any case (and in case of Nomi) a lot depends of luck... but not everything. Luck is just a dab of spice, but you have to work hard to get this chance. And even if you're lucky and get the job you earned for, without work you can loose it.

To my mind this movie is shows how far some persons can go to get what they want. I dont like Nomi, her style, her smile, her demeanor. What about this scene, I think it was not because of luck, or hard work, or inborn talent a fortiori. I haven't watched this movie, but twenty minutes of fully naked Elizabeth Berkley is a weighty argument to watch it. As far as I understood Nomi  accidentally got a chance and used it. At this point of view her success is no more than accident. But on the other hand the fate give a chance only for those, who worked for it, and Nomi makes really  efforts to got her success! Of course chance and hard work is enough terms to some succes in non-creative sphere, but in art (especially such like a dancing) to get success need one more element — I mean talent. But as far as I think the main theme of this movie is a choise. A choice between friendship and treason, between misery and wealth... in global between sence between materiality and spirituality values.And each man or woman must make yourself choices in according with own views and objective circumstances. Each human on the Earth makes this choice every day, every hour, every moment, I don't know how ends this movie and which choice makes protagonist, but independently of this choice I hope that each human makes this choice consciously.

As to Nomi or any other person, all above mentioned things: finding oneself in the right place in the right time, LUCK, HARD WORK and inborn TALENT — may give an opportunity in life to achieve success and its sweet smell.

Las Vegas is all about fun, gambles and bright night shows. But underneath all this glitter and idleness hiding the cruel and filthy world of show business. Naomi is a brave and very attractive girl and this important for that world.

Unfortunately I have never seen this film and I don’t know if it is worth to watch. But I saw only one episode and scarcely can judge about the whole thing. And in my modest opinion it is not enough to be a talented person. To be really successful you should be an eager beaver. Chance is given only to those who are ready to use it. And talent is hard working on 90 per cent and only on 10 percent it is an inborn feature. Turning back to homework episode I can say that Nomi is a girl who hotly wanted to have that work. I don’t know why it was so important for her but I only see that she can sacrifice a lot to her dream. It is so important that she even can pocket insults. I don’t know if work can be as valuable as self-esteem.

Well, while watching her behaviour I admired the way she took decisions, the way she spoke, the way she adapted to the emergent circumstances.   She guessed very quickly that at the very first  moment of speaking with Tony she had to impress him to attract his attention and to make him look at her not only as at a professional experienced dancer but a charming woman and she did it. She had a good eye contact and undoubtedly he couldn't help noticed her bewitching stare. She even dare to say that she hadn't taken any classes and to call him a prick. Nomi used the word that is evidently to his liking. She gave an unexpected answer which was quite different from all the rest. That caused an intrigue and raised Tony's interest to her. And that helped her to stay on the stage and gave her the chance to reveal her inborn talent. So now we can conclude that Nomi seized the opportunity due to her inborn talent for dancing. I think to take part in the show you may just use your luck, but to stay in the show Nomi had a talent  and she worked hard. I've seen the movie and I can also add one more thing, you need to stay human in order to stay in the main show — life.

I didn't see this movie and can't tell you much. In this episode I saw self — confidence girl, who know what she wants and going to do everything for it.

Ofcourse all three things luck, hard work and inborn talent have played the role in her life.

I think that Nomi's success is conditioned by many factors.

Let's just dissect this short episode.

First of all, Tony Moss wouldn't just mention Nomi if she hadn't an attractive visage. Her inborn beauty with ability to adorn herself and make herself look fantastic just added some points for the future success.

Nonetheless second important thing is Nomi's manner of self-presentation. In spite of the other applicants she acted like being peer to Tony Moss, she hadn't attempted to ingratiate herself with producer. Nomi acted crisply, I'd say bravely. She understood that acting like a little girl isn't the best way to earn a place in this show.

And the final factor that brought Nomi victory is her dancing skills. She made a good impression for the jury.

So, as a result we can sum all this up. Ability to look well, guts to act bravely and follow own goals, hard work — this all makes a man real person. This is the key to gain success.
